"A Different Path" opened its doors in 1998. Owned and operated by Terri and Jim Clothey of Whitefield, N.H., this store front was started to reflect cultural pride and a passion for history. "A Different Path" strives to offer quality goods at reasonable prices. From the east, we offer baskets of brown ash and sweet grass, birch bark containers, quill work on leather and birch bark, gourd work, beadwork and wampum work distinctive to the eastern peoples. We offer a full line of pottery, artifacts and fine silver work from the south west. Presently we have over 40 consignment artists who offer high quality creations in many different mediums. You will find a full selection of native music .....from traditional to contemporary with representation from all areas in the country. We have an extensive selection of books on culture, language, history, herbals, spirituality and a complete crafting information section. We also have special selections for our young readers. We have a great selection of craft supplies and leather to help you prepare your own regalia. We carry patterns and woolen goods. We have turtle shells, bells and other items that will help you make the best of artifacts.
